Prince Edward
太子
Prince Edward sits just north of Mong Kok, with the same Tsuen Wan and Kwun Tong Line interchange but a more residential edge around Boundary Street and the Flower Market.
Why choose Prince Edward
Prince Edward works for people who want Mong Kok close by but would rather live just outside its busiest blocks. Around Nathan Road and Prince Edward Road West the area is very connected, while the streets toward Boundary Street, Playing Field Road and the Flower Market feel more residential.
The station is a useful two-line interchange. The Tsuen Wan Line runs south through Mong Kok, Jordan, Tsim Sha Tsui, Admiralty and Central. The Kwun Tong Line runs east toward Kowloon Tong, Diamond Hill, Kwun Tong and Tiu Keng Leng.
That makes Prince Edward a strong student choice for CityU and Hong Kong Baptist University. Kowloon Tong station is two stops away on the Kwun Tong Line.
The trade-off is which side of Prince Edward suits your routine. Near Nathan Road, trains and buses are closest. Around the Flower Market and Fa Hui Park side, the pace changes, and Mong Kok East can be a usable walk when the East Rail Line matters.
